*Recipe Name - Malabar Biryani

*Ingredients -
  • Chicken / Prawn – 300 gms 
  • Cardamom, Cinnamon, Star Anise - 2 to 3 pieces
  • Clove, Black pepper , - 2 to 3 pieces
  • Onions – 2 thinly sliced  
  • Tomato – 2 thinly sliced 
  • Garlic – 6 to 8 pods sliced 
  • Ginger – 1 inch sliced 
  • Mint & coriander leaves – 1 cup 
  • Kabita’s Biryani Masala – 2 to 3 tbsps
  • Ghee – 2 to 3 tbsps 
  • Coconut milk powder – 2 to 3 tbsps 
  • Rice – 1 ½ cups washed & soaked

*Steps -

Marinate chicken / prawn with 2 tbsp Kabita’s biryani masala and keep aside for 20 minutes. 

In a heavy bottom pan 2 tbsps ghee add the whole spices and fry for a few minutes . Add the onion and fry till golden brown and then add ginger & garlic and fry till raw smell goes 

Add the tomatoes and coconut milk and cook till well done .

Add the rice along with the chicken & prawn and fry for a few minutes till aromatic

Add three cups water and cook on a slow flame with a lid. When the rice is almost done add in the chopped mint & coriander leaves .Pour the remaining ghee over.
